Christian
King

In 2013, Christian opened the original Industry DTLA in Downtown Los Angeles — a space born from an idea that hair, fashion, art, design, and individual expression could exist together under one roof.

He worked during the day as a stylist and spent his nights building the space, shaping its identity. Industry DTLA became more than a workplace. It became a creative studio — welcoming hairstylists, barbers, makeup artists, designers, and creatives who shared the same mentality: be yourself, create something meaningful, contribute to the community.

Years later, Christian brought that same creative DNA from Downtown Los Angeles to Bangkok — carrying the name of its DTLA roots while building something new in one of Asia's most energetic cities.

An Empty Canvas

He Built It With His Own Hands

When Christian found the original space in Downtown LA, it was essentially an empty canvas. There was nothing there. So he created it.

He worked during the day as a stylist and spent his nights building the space, shaping its identity, and creating the atmosphere he had imagined. The original Industry DTLA featured an industrial-inspired interior, exposed elements, local design, fashion, and creative collaborations.

It became more than a workplace. It became a reflection of Christian himself — a place where beauty could meet art. Where fashion could meet hair. Where a haircut could be part of someone's personal expression. And where the salon could become part of the neighborhood around it.

Industry DTLA was featured in local publications as a new kind of Downtown LA salon — one that combined beauty, fashion, design, and creative culture.

More Than a Salon

A Creative Studio & Lifestyle Space

Christian's vision was never about creating a traditional salon experience. The original Industry DTLA became a creative studio and lifestyle space. It welcomed hairstylists, barbers, makeup artists, designers, and creatives who shared the same mentality:

The space hosted creative events and brought together artists, designers, and people from the Downtown LA community. The goal was simple: create a place where people could feel free to express themselves. That philosophy became the heart of Industry — and that heart eventually traveled across the world.

From DTLA to Bangkok

The Next Chapter

Years later, the Industry story continued in a completely different city — Bangkok, Thailand. Christian brought the same creative DNA from Downtown Los Angeles and began building a new version of Industry — one that could connect with Bangkok's international, fashion-forward, and constantly evolving lifestyle.

Today, Industry DTLA Hair & Nail Salon Bangkok carries the name of its Downtown LA roots while creating its own identity in Bangkok. The concept has expanded beyond hair — into nails, beauty, style, self-expression, and experience.

But the philosophy remains the same: you don't come to Industry just to change your hair. You come to feel like yourself.

The Name Lives On

From One Creative Community to Another

The original Industry DTLA was created in Downtown Los Angeles at a time when the area was becoming a vibrant center for art, fashion, design, and creative culture. Christian wanted to be part of that transformation.

Today, Bangkok is a different city — but the spirit feels familiar. Bangkok is energetic. International. Creative. Fashion-conscious. Always changing. And that makes it the perfect place for the next chapter of Industry.
